About us

HELAMIN® Technology Holding Group is the inventor and developer of advanced "Green" water treatment products for water/steam cycles of boiler systems as well as for cooling water recirculation systems. Those products are being marketed and patented under the brand name HELAMIN®.
The commercial operation of HELAMIN® started in 1986. The applications for HELAMIN® have expanded to many plants in many countries around the world.

ORIGINS OF THE PRODUCT

Based on long term R&D, HELAMIN® has been developed and produced to withstand high temperature and pressure applications. Today HELAMIN® is used for steam boilers with operating pressure of 220 bar and steam temperature up to 600 °C. HELAMIN® is a composition of ingredients to provide protection and passivation of all ferrous and non ferrous metal surfaces by least degradation through the various phases: feed water, steam & condensate. HELAMIN® is forming a mono-molecular, continuous and hydrophobic protective film on all exposed metal surfaces.

The main advantages of HELAMIN® are:

Single pack, multi component mixture of surface active alkyl amines and if requested dispersant.
Environment compatible water treatment technology (HELAMIN® contains no Hydrazine and Phosphates).
Economical, only a very small excess is sufficient to protect the whole plant.
Ease of application, in most of the cases only one dosing point is necessary.
Stability, HELAMIN® is thermally stable up to 600 °C and 220 bar.

About us

Electrichlor was founded in August 2001 and did business as Electrichlor Hypochlorite Generators Incorporated (EHGI), based in Nappanee, Indiana from 2001 through 2016. In January 2017 the original founder of EHGI put together a new management and technical team leading to the formation of Electrichlor, LLC based in the State of Wyoming.

Technology

Electrichlor’s hypochlorite generators are known for high-efficiency leading to systems that are small and power efficient. Key to the technology is a patent for the electrolytic cell, a main component of our manufactured units, developed by Mr. Bentley. Mr. Bentley has a degree from Perth Technical College, Perth, Australia.



OFFSHORE

Electrichlor on-site hypochlorite generators provide sodium hypochlorite to control marine growth in industrial cooling water equipment, water/wastewater treatment in water supply systems and for refineries and offshore production platforms in Class 1, Division 1 & 2 hazardous locations. Electrichlor hypochlorite generators are suitable for indoor locations, or outdoors on a concrete foundation with a sunshade. However, in freeze conditions, indoor locations are recommended. Due to elements in seawater that can be affected by electrolysis, seawater is not recommended as the medium for producing hypochlorite for drinking water applications.
On-site hypochlorination has been used effectively for many years in the power industry to control marine growth in the pipework of cooling water systems. Generally seawater-cooling systems for power stations utilize on-site hypochlorinators to control algae and mussel growth that can block intake systems and severely impede the flow of seawater to condensers and heat exchangers. These systems divert a small seawater flow to an on-site hypochlorinator to produce sodium hypochlorite, generally at levels between 1000 and 2000 ppm which is well below the threshold level for hazardous material, (10,000 ppm), mandated by the EPA. By keeping a constant dosing at 1 ppm of chlorine in the cooling water system, marine growth is impeded from clogging cooling water systems.
The application is not limited to sea water. By using salty water in place of seawater, fresh water supplies can be effectively chlorinated using the same technology without the dangers associated with gaseous chlorine.

Offshore Oil Production and Pumping Platforms

For the chlorination of wastewater, firewater, sewage, gray water and potable water services.

A hypochlorite generator is placed on the platform and is equipped with a number of outlet connections to treat the various dosing requirements. On oil production platforms where the hypochlorite generator is to be placed in a hazardous location, the hypochlorite generator is installed in a sealed purged and ventilated housing. Seawater from the platform’s seawater services pumps is used to provide the seawater for the production of hypochlorite and the hypochlorite produced at 1500mg/l is used to dose the systems.
